Today was a fairly productive day.
I woke up around 11, went to a meeting with my advisor. I came back, watched some TV then had a meeting with Lindsey who was interviewing me to write an article for her news writing class. (I honestly feel like a psuedo rockstar). The guy that does the booking for Java called me again because he wants me to do two more shows this month! That is TOTALLY exciting, except I can't do either of them. It just makes me feel good...like i'm in high demand!! (that's right folks, take a good look. you're chilling with a rockstar these days!)
Anyways, the rest of my day was pretty much spent at the radio station with one of my most special friends, Gordon. We aired the interview i did with my husbands, OAR, today. I think that it went well! It sounded awesome after he mixed it and cut out my, what seemed like, broken english/valley girl talk....so i was proud! (thank you mr. gordon for all of your work!)
I came back to my room and just passed the fuck out. I have been unusually tired lately. I ended up missing my promotions meeting (yes i'm a failure) and not waking up until 7ish.
I skipped out on some homework and went for a walk with my roommate. In an hour and a half we did the following:
1-found a lake in the middle of naperville
2- bear crawled, crab walked, and raced across a grass structure similar to something you would find in Greece, in a town square, in/around the 1600's.
3-i conducted an imaginary orchestra (the clarinet section had a squeaker)
4-saw my roommate attempting to do the snake, but ending up humping the ground
5- walked along the river walk and decided we are both lonley, pathetic souls who both wanted to make out with someone (but definately not each other!)
6- wittnessed the aftermath of a car accident- pieces of car strewn all across the street (which my barefeet were not so fond of!)
7- discovered that i can make impressingly real Duck sounds
8- found out that neither of us are as flexible as we used to be...head stands, back flips, and all other gynmastic moves are never to be tried again by either of us
9- watched a little league game that was hiding somewhere deep deep in the riverwalk maze
10- realized that my roommates feelings towards lighted sporting events (aka evening games) is suprisingly similar to my feelings towards concerts....only i am much more emotional!
11- and did i mention we found a lake??? because that was the strangest thing!
12- pretended i was at disney land, running through those fountain things that spray water all over the place and kids run around yelling and screaming and getting wet...only there were no fountains spraying water because all it was, was a circular area that resembled a place where fountains would spray water.
Sometimes i wonder how in the world i have any friends!
My biggest dilema right now: Deciding whether or not I can go see Johnny Lang in Rockford on friday night...hmmmm....suggestions/comments anyone?
